Beginning June 1, 2007 medical marijuana users can obtain an ID card issued by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. You can apply for the ID card only by making an appintment, and the only oiffice that provides ID cards is located in downtown LA. This is a real hardship for those who have a legitmate need to use marijuana but who can't easily get downtown.
